About UsNixon Firm, LLC maintains its offices at 3105 W. Waters Ave., Suite 204, Tampa, Florida, 33614, at the corner of Waters Ave and Twin Lakes Blvd. The firm also operates a Piper Cherokee Six, N 3580W, which is used to make site visits to clients and for the attorneys to attend out-of-town live hearings. N3580W is IFR-equipped and Jary Nixon, the senior attorney is IFR rated and has over 3500 hours flying time in this aircraft. The firm relocated to its present site in 2000 after selling its office building on Davis Island in Tampa. The firm utilizes two computer networks within its offices, with a total of 14 computer stations active. The firm writes and maintains its own relational database software, providing the ability to make software changes to comply with client report requests and court changes almost instantly. The firm has a significant part of its practice in the area of residential and commercial mortgage foreclosures and quiet title suits statewide, Motions to Lift Stay and Adequate Protection Motions and Proof of Claim filing, and exceptions to discharge litigation, in all three bankruptcy districts in Florida, a general commercial litigation practice including commercial collections, both on a contingent or flat fee basis, and an additional practice of preparing and filing Answers to Writs of Garnishment served upon banks and credit unions (the garnishment answer practice is normally handled without fees being charged to clients, the firm relying upon the garnishment fee paid by the garnishing party and posted with the court). The firm prefers to handle matters on a flat fee prearranged basis, and due to its computer strengths, finds that its flat fee proposals are significantly more economical to a client than can be expected. The clients hopefully benefit by being able to budget these known fees rather than receiving future open-ended bills. The firm has been active with the CM/ECF electronic bankruptcy filing since its inception in Florida and is fully implemented in both districts (Northern and Middle) in which CM/ECF is presengtly used. The firm has attorneys licensed and authorized to practice in all three Florida bankruptcy districts. The firm has and continues to develop software to enable the CM/ECF to function more efficently from the attorney perspective, including direct use of scanned exhibits from client to court, electronic signature support of affidavits and verifications from client, batch preparation and conversion of the motions into PDF format, and use of scripts for automatic filing of the prepared motion package without staff needing to sit at a keyboard. As a consequence, with participation by a client electronically and by use of our batch and scripting, a motion can typically be completed and filed within 6 hours! (The firm has determined that through complete automation and client cooperation, manpower needs can be so reduced that the firm can and will quote flat fees substantially less than those allowed b FNMA/FHLMC, as an example) We look forward to exploring your legal needs, especially if you are a commercial organization needing 10 or more similar suits or bankruptcy motions per year which can be standardized and implemented through extensive email usage and electronic distribution of placements, exhibit download, verification uploads, and ultimate receipt of court orders through email. |
